In the picture above, you can see 6 different oriental design alternatives, which were modeled with Rhino 6 and simulated using Climate Studio software. Considering that for all alternatives according to ASHRAE, WWR was 30% and curtains are opened and closed manually, the analysis shows that the daylight uniformity in alternative 3 and then alternative 2 is better than other alternatives. Also, the office that has a horizontal window in the middle of the wall has more than 300 lux in 50% of the space than other alternatives.

Using the results of this research, a general method for selecting the east window for an office can be provided that can be used for all occupancies and orientations. The numbers and images provided are very illustrative and can be used to examine other criteria for evaluating daylight.
