What are we looking at?

The graphic shows the effectiveness of the external skin for the office building to diffuse daylight of the summer and winter solstice to illuminate the space adequately.

How did you make the graphic?

With Rhino and DIVA.

What specific investigation questions led to the production of this graphic?

What is the sun angle during winter in Milwaukee?
How can the solstice angle enhance the facade to reduce glare within the space?

How does this graphic fit into the larger design investigations and what did you learn from producing the graphic?

The external skin can be effectively changed per region based on the sun angles with the use of grasshopper.

What was successful and/or unique about the graphic in how it communicates information?
